Here we are, in Taco Bell, Sal, Morgan, Khrys, Sam,
and me. Two Taco 12 Packs laid out in front of us. The usual
conversations were occurring; "What do you want to do this weekend,"
"How was School?" But any time school is mentioned around Sal,
its almost an instinct to make a joke about him and leaving public school
for Xbox. Sal doesn't really get mad at these jokes about him, but
retaliates with a better comeback in which we all laugh at. I have
noticed that when Sal is talking to his online friends over Xbox, his
conversations are short and strategic (in accordance to the game he is
playing). But when he is around all of us outside of his house, he is
very talkative and loves to have fun. When we make jokes about Sal it doesn't
seem to phase him one bit. He stands by his reasoning with playing Xbox,
and attempting to make money off of it. Though when he does hang out with
everyone, he never really mixes Xbox terms, or anything about Xbox in general,
into our conversations. In fact Xbox is only mentioned, when someone else
speaks of it around him. In this case, at Taco Bell, Morgan says,
"Sal did you make your two pennies off of Xbox this month?"
where Sal then replies, "Morgan, your so fat I can hear you're
Diabetes," which all five of us laugh about as Morgan chows down on his
8th Taco.
You have the soul of a storyteller.

DeleteWow. That was surprising. Your friend sounds like he can keep his lives separate from each other completely. I wish I could do that. Plus those were surprising comebacks from your friend; I wouldn't have been able to say something like that. This post woke me up (I haven't been getting the best sleep lately). I can't wait to read more from you.
ReplyDeleteI love your approach on this project. Observing human nature rather than earthly nature is an interesting choice. Part of this project is to hopefully learn some lessons and I am eager to find out the potential lessons you can learn from your friend.
ReplyDeleteJaxon. Your blog is really entertaining, and I like your description of the situation. It really brings out the personalities of all of you guys and it adds to the overall description. Good job.
