Here we are, in Taco Bell, Sal, Morgan, Khrys, Sam,
and me. Two Taco 12 Packs laid out in front of us. The usual
conversations were occurring; "What do you want to do this weekend,"
"How was School?" But any time school is mentioned around Sal,
its almost an instinct to make a joke about him and leaving public school
for Xbox. Sal doesn't really get mad at these jokes about him, but
retaliates with a better comeback in which we all laugh at. I have
noticed that when Sal is talking to his online friends over Xbox, his
conversations are short and strategic (in accordance to the game he is
playing). But when he is around all of us outside of his house, he is
very talkative and loves to have fun. When we make jokes about Sal it doesn't
seem to phase him one bit. He stands by his reasoning with playing Xbox,
and attempting to make money off of it. Though when he does hang out with
everyone, he never really mixes Xbox terms, or anything about Xbox in general,
into our conversations. In fact Xbox is only mentioned, when someone else
speaks of it around him. In this case, at Taco Bell, Morgan says,
"Sal did you make your two pennies off of Xbox this month?"
where Sal then replies, "Morgan, your so fat I can hear you're
Diabetes," which all five of us laugh about as Morgan chows down on his
8th Taco.

Blog posts on the observations that I notice within life of eRa SWM.

The light peeked through the shades of his windows, as I sat there
trying to act like I wasn't there. Just
me, in Sal’s room, with a pen and small black journal in hand. He was so into it, the flashing of the
screen, the loud noises of virtual guns, and the pixelated Frag Grenades going
off in the background. I’ve never seen
someone with so much passion towards a video game as Sal. Sal’s online name is SWM, eRa Swm to be exact
(eRa being the name of a Xbox team that he is part of). Today his room was sort of clean, just the
normal couple candy bar wrappers and half full, or half empty depending on how
you look at it, soda cans. A kitten
constantly running around his room, all black with deep green eyes, Alex is his
name. When Alex finally becomes tired of
non stop playing, he sits on top of Sal, who sits on top of an old squeaky
office chair, and sleeps while Sal continues to play his everlasting video
games. Video games controlled by only
his thumbs, and a black and grey controller, with a light up “X” illuminating
in green in the middle of it.
